Prior to joining Unicity International, Stewart Hughes spent 15 years in the financial services industry where he served as Vice President and Senior Financial Management Advisor with two Wall Street investment-banking firms.
In 1991, he launched Marathon Group International-an independent distributor organization committed to bringing cutting-edge preventive healthcare products to market worldwide. With tens of thousands of distributors throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia and revenue exceeding $100 million annually, Marathon Group International is one of the largest companies of its kind in the world.
In leaving this highly successful distributorship to lead Unicity International as CEO, Mr. Hughes has made the strongest possible statement about his commitment to the future of Unicity and the opportunity for independent distributors worldwide.
Mr. Hughes believes that lasting success can only be achieved through continual personal development. In addition to educating the public on preventive healthcare solutions, he has taught principle-centered leadership skills to thousands of people in North and South America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Hughes is the author of several training programs including: the CORE Journal, Constructive Imagination, Solution Based Selling, and Relationship Focus. These training programs as well as a commitment to lead by example have earned him recognition as an extraordinary international business leader, trainer, and speaker.
Mr. Hughes graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Utah's David Eccles Graduate School of Business.
He and his wife Bonita are the parents of eight children and the grandparents of eight.
Brent D. Morrill - President
As
President, Brent D. Morrill is responsible for all Unicity markets, global marketing, and Research and Development. Prior to joining Unicity in 2003, Mr.
Morrill held several executive positions at Ford Motor Company over a
twelve-year period. His experience included key assignments in
manufacturing, purchasing, marketing, sales, business development,
investor relations, and corporate finance. Mr. Morrill was responsible
for various business initiatives in North America, South America,
Europe and Asia.
Mr. Morrill provides the company with extensive experience in business and financial management. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Brigham Young University.
Christopher Hyunsu Kim - Executive Vice President
As the Executive Vice President, Mr. Kim is responsible for Unicity's Asia Pacific Region
which consists of Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines,
Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan markets.
Prior to joining Unicity in 2005, Mr. Kim held executive positions for several direct selling organizations. Mr. Kim has more than eleven years of experience in direct selling markets. His extensive experience includes strategic planning for sales and marketing, product launching, managing, assisting and motivating independent business distributors in achieving success. Christopher's people skills enable him to work well in the diverse cultures with which he has responsibility.
Mr. Kim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Corporate Finance from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, USA.
He lives happily with his wife, Sue, and their four children.
Brian Lee - Chief Administrative Officer
As Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Lee is responsible for global Human Resources, global Information Technology, Legal, and Quality Control.
Prior to joining Unicity in 2004, Brian Lee served as Corporate Vice President of Human Resources for a privately held company and the largest business unit of a Fortune 500 corporation. He has also worked in industries from mining to manufacturing, from plastics to metal fabrication, and from profit to non-profit.
Mr. Lee has lived and worked in all regions of the United States. His former employers have included Mobil Corporation, Macklanburg-Duncan Company, and SPX Corporation.
Bringing over twenty years of experience in all aspects of human resources and general management, Mr. Lee is a key asset to Unicity. He is responsible for International Development, Global Human Resources, Global IT and Quality Assurance. In addition, he has written articles on leadership and supervision and has developed numerous training programs. He has led and participated on a corporate team to develop competency and leadership models for measurement and development of leadership skills.
Mr. Lee received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (Magna Cum Laude) from Brigham Young University, a Master's degree in English from Northeast Missouri State University (now called Truman State University), and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Florida Southern College. He has been an adjunct faculty member at Northeast Missouri State University and Brigham Young University for courses in business and communications.
Clayton Barton - Chief Operating Officer
In his role as COO, Mr. Barton is responsible for the company's global supply chain.
Mr. Barton joined Unicity in June 2009, working on process improvement projects. Prior
to joining Unicity, Mr. Barton spent his career in the printing
industry, holding sales, operations, and general management positions with
three different companies, including the world’s largest international printing
company, Quebecor. He has been
responsible for territories in the Southwestern United States, Mexico, and
Canada.
Mr. Barton received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of the State
of New York in Albany, New York.
Nathan K. Tolman - Chief Financial Officer
Prior
to joining Unicity, Nathan K. Tolman was a Mergers & Acquisition
Director for PowerQuest, a software company that was acquired by
Symantec. While with PowerQuest, Mr. Tolman prepared market analysis
and deal evaluation packages, was the primary due diligence interface
with targets and, after the announcement of Symantec's purchase, was
designated as the transition manager with PowerQuest to coordinate all
transition issues with Symantec. Prior to PowerQuest, he was the Vice
President of Finance & Controller for an emerging markets,
high-tech simulation division of General Electric and completed GE's
six sigma quality training program.
At GE, he was responsible for divisional financial reporting, and budgeting internal controls management. Prior to the acquisition of this high-tech simulation company by GE, Mr. Tolman was the Chief Financial Officer & Corporate Secretary for I-Sim Corporation negotiating deal terms, coordinating audits and tax compliance, financial statement preparation, preparing business plans, forecasting budgets and internal controls.
Mr. Tolman started his career in public accounting with Deloitte & Touche, LLP and was promoted after 5 years to Audit Manager. While with Deloitte & Touche, Mr. Tolman managed multiple audit teams on multi-billion dollar audits for public & private companies in public utilities, healthcare, retail and manufacturing.
He received a Master's degree in Accounting from the Eccles School of Business at Utah State University, graduating cum laude. Mr. Tolman is currently a licensed CPA in the state of Utah.
Curt A. Hedges - Chairman
As CFO and President prior to his current role of Chairman of the Board, Curt
Hedges has made numerous improvements in the accounting, financial
reporting, internal controls, cash management, and operations. He has implemented robust cost controls and cash management
processes throughout the company's global markets, resulting in
significantly improved cost structures.
Mr. Hedges came to Unicity International after a long, distinguished career in all facets of financial management for private and public companies. He served as Vice President and Corporate Controller for Compass Learning Corporation, a privately held corporation based in Phoenix, Arizona, and as Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Wicat Systems, a publicly traded, multinational firm in Orem, Utah. In all of his positions, Mr. Hedges has proven success in creating effective cash management and accounting systems and improving cost structures.
Mr. Hedges has considerable experience in managing information systems departments and in implementing new software systems. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University and is a qualified CPA in the state of Utah.
